A fine balance
Valid point raised by Ian Chappell and Tony Greig on the weight and size of today's cricket bats, length of the boundaries and just the need for balance between bat and ball.
It was in reference to Matthew Hayden being comprehensively beaten by Samuels but he still managed to reach out and one hand the ball back over the bowlers head for six
The balance between bat and ball needs to be restored yes,But how? longer boundaries? lighter bats? go back to the 2 piece ball which supposedly swings a whole lot more than the 4 piece that is currently in use.
Any suggestions?
